It was an unforgettable experience in Budapest, Hungary for the qualifiers. From 11 to 15 May, they got the opportunity to experience Hungarian food and history, as well as be regaled by cultural performances.
They visited tourist spots such as famous cathedrals, and got to know about the legends of Budapest, before trying their hand at the Medieval sport of archery. They also ate at unusual restaurant settings, like one which was set in a cave and another which gave out crowns to instill a royal atmosphere.
The trip was made more fun, with different dress themes to style after the different meals. They wore nautical-inspired attire for a dinner cruise, and black-tie attire for the Hungarian Rhapsody Gala Dinner. The dinner was akin to a masquerade ball, with the inclusion of masks in the dress code.
The Gala Dinner was the highlight of the trip, as they were exposed to the cultural aspect of Budapest through musical, dancing and acrobatic performances. Some attendees volunteered to be part of a pantomime too!
For the qualifiers, this convention was indeed filled with beautiful moments to savour.
