This was an incentive trip for our organization, from 10 to 15 January 2018. We experienced Japan during her winter period.
Our main focus was Tokyo but we could not pass up the opportunity to spend a night in Mount Fuji, as winter is the best time to behold the mountain in its full splendour.
In Tokyo, we stayed at Shinjuku Prince Hotel. We had a chance to visit the famed Asakusa Temple to soak in the religious traditions of Japan, before touring the local attractions via coach.
Proceeding to Mount Fuji, we made a stop at Kawaguchi Oike Koen for an unadulterated view of the mountain. At our hotel, the breathtaking views of the mountain continued to flood our sight. We were treated to a Japanese Kaiseki course for dinner, and indulging in it wearing our yukatas felt as if we were fully assimilated into Japanese culture.
As we unwillingly bade farewell to Mount Fuji, we spent our afternoon at Gotemba Premium Outlets before returning to Tokyo. We remained in Tokyo for 1.5 days, visiting the places on our personal bucket list, before flying home.
